in a colourful way!

An intuitive painting workshop as a team-building event is a fantastic way to foster creativity, collaboration, and connection among team members. Here's more information about what such a workshop might entail:

Purpose

The primary goal of this workshop is to encourage team members to tap into their intuition, let go of inhibitions, and express themselves through art.

Duration

Typically, these workshops can last anywhere from 1 to 3 hours, depending on the complexity of the project and the group's preferences.

Location

Either we come to your office and we set-up an atelier space (we bring the art material, do the cleaning up and we leave your office space spotless) or we propose an external location to you.

This can be in combination with catering. A nice lunch, an amazing apero, everything is possible!

We are happy to propose you some ideas to organise a fantastic event for you.

Your host

The event will be led by Laura Latacz, creator of Hands-on Art and a certified Art Therapist with years of experience in organising events and leading group events.

Workshop Activities

1. Introduction to Intuitive Painting:

We start with an introduction to intuitive painting, explaining that there are no rules, and the focus is on self-expression rather than artistic skill. There is no talent required.

2. Materials and Setup:

We provide each participant with high quality paper,  a canvas, paints, brushes, and any other necessary materials.

3. Theme:

Optionally, we can introduce you a theme that relates to teamwork, such as "Exploring Our Team's Strengths" or "Our Vision for the Future." This can give the artwork a collective focus.

4. Painting Session:

We encourage participants to let their intuition guide their brushstrokes.

There are no right or wrong ways to paint in this context.

We emphasise the process over the final product.

5. Share and Reflect:

After the painting session, all the team members share their thoughts and feelings about their artwork. This is an opportunity for open and non-judgmental sharing.

6. Group Collaboration:

To reinforce teamwork, we can introduce a collaborative element.

For example, each team member could contribute to a larger canvas, symbolizing the collective strength of the team.

7. Gallery Walk:

After the workshop you can arrange all the artworks in a gallery-like setting.

Allow participants to walk around, appreciate each other's creations, and discuss the experience.

Benefits

  • Creativity:

Participants get in touch with their creative sides, which can lead to innovative thinking in the workplace.

  • Stress Reduction:

Painting can be therapeutic and help reduce stress, contributing to a more relaxed and focused team.

  • Communication:

Sharing thoughts and feelings about their artwork promotes open communication and empathy among team members.

  • Team Bonding:

Collaborative aspects of the workshop strengthen teamwork, trust, and cooperation.

Key Takeaways

  • Each team member leaves with a unique piece of art.

  • A deeper understanding of colleagues' perspectives and emotions.

  • A boost in team morale and creativity.

  • Tangible artwork that can serve as a reminder of the team's shared experience.

An intuitive painting workshop offers a refreshing break from the typical team-building activities and allows team members to connect on a more personal and creative level. It's an experience that can leave a lasting positive impact on both individuals and the team as a whole.
